Lena DeGloma, M.S., is an expert practitioner and instructor of therapeutic massage with more than 17 years of experience. She specializes in prenatal, postnatal and labor support massage as well as therapeutic deep tissue (myofascial and trigger point) therapy for chronic pain, tension, and injuries for people of all genders. She takes a whole-person approach with her clients and regularly integrates herbal medicine, essential oils, hydrotherapy and cupping therapy (fire cupping) into her work. Burcu has been passionately pursuing her career in holistic healing since 2007 after graduating from Helma Institute of Massage Therapy. Receiving regular massage therapy sessions herself at school and seeing the benefits and healing from her own injuries, Burcu wanted help others with their chronic pain and stress. In addition to being a Licensed Massage Therapist with over a decade of experience, she is also a Birth Doula, Infant Massage Educator, Reiki Master, and ACE Massage Cupping Practitioner. Burcu is trained in many modalities of massage therapy, including deep tissue, prenatal & postnatal massage, acupressure, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, joint mobilization, and spontaneous muscle release technique (SMRT). Noriko is a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist. She was born and raised in Japan and moved to NYC in 2002. She graduated from Swedish Institute College of Health & Science in 2007 and has been a full time LMT for the past 15 years. She was a well-loved massage therapist for nearly a decade at the former Sage Spa and is excited to be seeing new and established clients at Red Moon Wellness. Noriko’s clients say that her massage sessions are never exactly the same. She listens to your body carefully and communicates thoughtfully in order to customize each session to your needs, which she understands may change from session to session. She applies a mixture of deep tissue, myofascial release, Trigger Point Therapy, Shiatsu (or acupressure points), Swedish massage, stretching techniques, and sports massage with therapeutic touch. She is highly experienced in pre/postnatal massage, hot stone massage, intra-oral massage for TMJ, and techniques for alleviating headaches and neck/shoulder tension. Agnes is a Licensed Massage Therapist with more than a decade of experience. She is passionate about her work and strives to form a connection with all of her clients. She is a graduate of the Swedish Institute and specializes in prenatal massage, deep tissue and trigger point therapy, shiatsu (acupressure), and also offers Reiki and Vortex Healing. Originally from France, Agnes has been a long time Park Slope resident who is actively involved in her community. Agnes was a popular massage therapist at the former Sage Spa for many years before joining Red Moon Wellness. Agnes is an avid practitioner of Pilates and her own body awareness translates into massage sessions that are incredibly effective for improving postural issues as well as deeply relaxing.

Rungtip (Tippy) Matusevich is a New State Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. Originally from Thailand, she has been living in Brooklyn for nearly 20 years. Tippy’s advanced training includes certification in prenatal massage, Thai Massage training from Wat Poh Thai Medical school in Bangkok, as well as training in Taylor Techniques Myofascial Release at Swedish institute. Her bodywork modalities include classic Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Sports massage, Myofascial Release, Prenatal massage, Shiatsu (acupressure) and Thai Massage. Tippy’s massage sessions are individually tailored to each client as she integrates her various bodywork specialties. Vanetta is a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of New York College of Health Professions in Manhattan. With years of experience working as a medical massage therapist in a chiropractic office and for the US Tennis Association as a sports massage therapist, she can effectively choreograph a session to address the needs of any client. She was blessed with the gift of touch and through massage it became her passion for supporting clients in their healing journeys. She's certified in Dynamic Cupping (specially trained in Fire Cupping), Graston Technique (Gua Sha), Facial Rejuvenation and Lymphatic Drainage. As a mother herself, Vanetta loves supporting clients during their pregnancies and is trained in prenatal massage. Additional modalities Vanetta is trained and proficient in include Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu and stretching. Richard is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and graduate of the New York College of Health Professions with over 19 years of experience. He is trained in trigger point therapy, sports massage, medical massage, prenatal/postnatal, Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, myofascial release, and hot stone massage. Richard has perfected his integration of effective medical massage with a deeply relaxing flow. Before joining Red Moon, he had years of experience providing medical massage in a chiropractic office, as well as in a luxury spa environment during his more than 15-year tenure at the well-loved d’mai Urban Spa in Park Slope before they closed in September 2020. In his medical massage work he treated patients with herniations, subluxations, slipped discs and other injuries pertaining to the central nervous system and spinal cord. An athlete himself, Richard especially gets joy out of working with people involved in all types of athletic activity, from the elite professional athlete to the novice just beginning a walking program for general health. Abbey is a graduate of the massage therapy program at Pacific College of Health and Science in New York City. She is passionate about the profound healing that can happen when people allow their bodies to relax, and the importance of touch in modern society. Abbey also graduated with a BA in Dance from the University at Buffalo. As a professional dancer, Abbey was introduced to how powerful touch can be; touch is an integral part of learning and developing body awareness in dance, an artistic and storytelling device, and beneficial for injury recovery and prevention. After retiring from dance, Abbey acutely felt the absence of touch in her life and its effects on both her physical and mental health. This pushed her toward practicing massage therapy, where she can use touch every day to help people move more comfortably. She meets each client where they are at, while using a blend of Western and Eastern modalities including Swedish, Tui Na, Thai, Shiatsu, deep tissue, myofascial release, stretching techniques, and sports massage. Given her nearly two decades of experience in the performing arts, Selina is well-acquainted with the physical demands of working performers and has developed much of her therapeutic work around those needs. Selina also spent ten years working in child development and education, teaching students between the ages of three and seventeen. Having a passion for nurturing relationships with youth provides her work with a family-oriented insight that caters to parents and children alike. Selina aims to help her clients achieve optimal functional movement in their bodies alongside mental and spiritual well-being.

Tara is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of the Swedish Institute College of Health Science. She began her practice with a deep focus on how massage can impact the pregnant body and childbearing cycle and was certified for pre/postnatal massage with home birth midwife and educator Susanrachel Condon. She has also completed continuing education in osteopathic deep tissue and myofascial techniques, and brings a blend of approaches to each session in order to address injury treatment and prevention, postural deviation, chronic pain management and other aspects of mental and physical wellbeing. Tara has a compassionate and intuitive approach to bodywork and an affinity for science and research. She believes that massage can be a powerful tool in supporting each individual’s relationship to their own healing and wellness. Ellen is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences where she gained advanced knowledge in Swedish massage, deep tissue, Shiatsu, myofascial release, sports massage, trigger point release, and assessment techniques. Ellen’s massage sessions involve focused, deep work to effectively release points of tension with precision, while deeply relaxing the body and mind. She graduated summa cum laude and had the privilege of holding massage therapy externships with the Hospital of Special Surgery and the NYC marathon. Ellen earned her bachelor's degree in Dance at Point Park University, where she first dove into anatomy, kinesiology, and an extensive understanding of functional movement in our bodies. Since moving to New York in 2014, she has expanded her knowledge of the body by pursuing dance professionally, and taking a multitude of yoga, Pilates, cycling, and other strength training classes, all of which inform her multifaceted approach to massage and bodywork.

Emily is a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist and graduate of the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences. She is a native New Yorker who has always had a passion and curiosity for science. Emily has detailed training in Swedish massage, therapeutic deep tissue work including myofascial and trigger point therapy, shiatsu (acupressure), medical and sports massage, and mobility and stretching techniques. Her work can be described as deep & thorough, focused, compassionate, and intuitive, approaching each session with the specific goals of the client in mind and paying close attention to the body. Emily loves integrating different modalities to create an effective, renewing, and relaxing massage experience. Emily has a background in biology and interdisciplinary science and outside of her work as a massage therapist, she studies the human microbiome at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her research looks at ways the microbiome impacts cancer treatment and recovery, infectious disease, and many aspects of health from childbirth throughout different stages of life and disease. Emily has extensive knowledge of anatomy, neurology, and pathology. She is especially interested in the ways massage can be a transformative tool in overall health from pain and stress management, pre- and postnatal support, injury and illness recovery, to grief, anxiety, and depression. Emily loves movement in many forms including yoga, exploring the city on her bike, strength training, and swimming. Lisa is a graduate of Pacific College of Health and Science in New York City where she completed her massage therapy training. She was born and raised in Colorado, studied musical theatre at Carnegie Mellon University, and worked as a professional actress and singer for over 20 years. She moved to New York City 8 years ago which eventually led to her career in massage therapy. Having dealt with chronic pain and an autoimmune disorder since her teenage years she decided to follow her other passion and to go back to school to become educated in the human body, health and wellness, and become a massage therapist. She is trained in a wide variety of massage modalities including Swedish, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, Thai massage, reflexology, Shiatsu, acupressure, sports massage, dermoneuromodulation, positional release, and stretching. Her personal experience with the impact and importance of touch therapy influences her approach to bodywork that she tailors to your individual needs by creating a relaxing and safe environment to help you get back in touch with your body.

In addition to her experience working with athletes she has worked in spa settings and chiropractic offices. His background is in higher education working with collegiate students on their academic goals and teaching some college courses. While working with massage therapy students at Pacific College, his interest was piqued in a career as a massage therapist after personally seeing the benefits of receiving regular therapeutic massage. Kendrick’s unique style of massage integrates stretches drawn from Thai massage techniques with deep tissue, myofascial, trigger point therapy as well as relaxing Swedish massage. He has also completed a certification in prenatal massage. Kendrick was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and has lived in the New York area for almost 10 years. He graduated from University of Missouri - Kansas City with a degree in Liberal Arts and has a Graduate Degree, in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University.

Isabel knows first-hand how important the process of nervous system regulation is to the outcome of body therapy and aims to help people become more embodied and empowered in their own healing. As a professional dancer for over a decade, and dancer her whole life, Isabel brings a unique skill set, knowledge of the physical moving body, and sensitivity to her body work. Her rigorous life makes her no stranger to injuries, injury prevention, and the demands of a high-performance career. Isabel sustained two concussions in her dance work which brought her as a client to biodynamic craniosacral therapy (BCST), and subsequently completed a 500-hr certification at Stillpoint (2019). This work has helped her develop acute and sensitive listening abilities, allowing her to be a present, grounded, and body-oriented practitioner. Isabel went on to complete a 1000-hr AOS for massage therapy at Pacific College- New York where she was granted two internships. The first was at Womankind, an organization providing support for survivors of gender-based violence, where she utilized the trauma-informed verbal skills and practices learned in BCST. The second was with the Joffrey Ballet School where she worked with ballet dancers, teachers, and office-workers of all ages. Isabel has since completed continuing education in prenatal massage, biodynamic craniosacral therapy for post-concussion syndrome, Long Covid, and other autoimmune disorders. They are an American-born Pilipinx trans person who was born and raised in New York City. Sal's informal massage training began in childhood as they would often massage their parents, aunts, and uncles. Even as a child, Sal learned the art of intentional, healing touch. Since then, Sal has been fascinated by the human mind and body and its ability to heal itself, especially when given a safe space with loving support. Eventually, this led Sal to formal massage school where they were trained in various Eastern and Western modalities including trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, myofasical release, prenatal and postnatal massage, medical massage, Swedish massage, Zen shiatsu, and acupressure. As a trans-nonbinary person and a trauma-informed massage therapist, Sal prioritizes creating and maintaining a safe space for their clients while taking the time and care to accommodate their needs. Through their detailed and intentional work, Sal aims to not only facilitate healing on a physical level, but also to help strengthen their client's mind-body connection. Driven by their genuine passion for learning, facilitating healing, and empowering others to take care of themselves and their communities, Sal is continuing their education at CUNY-City College of New York, working towards a Bachelor's in Social Welfare. She then continued to take courses in Shiatsu and Acupressure at the McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland, California over her summers while pursuing her bachelor's degree in Psychology-Neuroscience-Philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis, where she also took courses in somatic practices and dance. After moving to New York, she became certified in assisted stretching and worked in that field for four years, during which time she completed her Associate’s in Massage Therapy at Pacific. Her work balances an understanding of the neuromuscular system with intuition and a deep appreciation of the mental-emotional aspects of bodywork, resulting in a holistic experience. In her own life, movement and bodywork have been a powerful tool for physical, mental, and emotional healing and self-discovery. She has found that receiving bodywork complements psychotherapy by bringing awareness to patterns in her nervous system, and by gently dismantling the habitual fight-or-flight state, allowing her to be more fully present. Elena believes in the body's ability to heal itself and utilizes her expertise to assist in this process. Amelia Steinman, LMT, is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Toronto and is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist. In her client-centered practice, she applies her strong clinical foundation and a biopsychosocial lens in order to work with the body, not on the body. Amelia is highly skilled at focused trigger point, deep tissue and orthopedic work to release stubborn patterns of long-standing tension and pain. Her wide breadth of specialty massage skills includes intra-oral massage for TMJ, cancer / oncology massage, breast / chest massage, lymphatic drainage, and prenatal massage. She has a background providing massage therapy to patients recovering from strokes and acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, and is experienced working with geriatric patient populations. In addition, she has completed continuing education at Pacific College of Health and Science in Manhattan in Shiatsu and Reflexology. During sessions, Amelia holds space for clients to notice sensation as it arises, encouraging engagement with their embodied experience and allowing for greater somatic awareness. Chasi is a graduate of Pacific College of Health & Science and a New York State licensed massage therapist specializing in prenatal and postpartum care. Chasi is also trained in acupressure, Thai massage, Swedish, sports and orthopedic massage, myofascial release, Reiki, and deep tissue work. Her treatment style is slow-paced and thoughtful as she strives to listen and stay present, modifying the plan as needed. As a mother who struggled with postpartum anxiety following the birth of her daughter eight years ago, she has a deep desire to assist parents at all stages of the journey. Whether it's support for a parent, helping to ease pain or to promote injury recovery, Chasi believes receiving regular massage can benefit everyone. Above all things, she strives to create a safe space for clients to rest, relax, increase their own body connection and self-awareness, and regulate their nervous system. Claudia has been massaging family since childhood and believes touch is the oldest form of medicine and healing. She began formal training in massage therapy after her grandmother suffered with breast cancer and she saw how bodywork can make a world of difference for someone in pain and discomfort. Claudia is a licensed massage therapist in New York and a graduate of the Pacific College of Health and Science massage therapy program. She tailors each session to the needs of the client by thoughtfully listening to their words as well as their body. She integrates Eastern and Western techniques including Swedish, Thai, deep tissue, myofascial release, Tui Na, acupressure, reflexology, and sports massage. Claudia also completed prenatal and postpartum massage training so she can fulfill her dream of helping people be more comfortable in pregnancy. Her style is both clinically effective and deeply relaxing; in addition to her luxury spa experience, she has had success helping people with chronic and acute pain. Amanda has worked as a massage therapist for 15 years in a range of settings including wellness centers, gyms, spas, and personal residences. Additionally, she is a writer, performer and Jewish educator, inspired by the ways her varied practices inform each other. Rebecca is a graduate of Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences and is licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey, and California. In addition to being certified in prenatal massage, she is also a recently certified birth and postpartum doula. She specializes in Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, prenatal, aromatherapy, hot stone, and sports massage. She has experience treating specific musculoskeletal syndromes such as Achilles tendinitis, TMJ syndrome, and patellofemoral syndrome. She listens carefully and tailors each and every session to the client’s needs, offering a massage that is simultaneously effective and deeply relaxing.

Kelly is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and graduate of the Finger Lakes School of Massage with more than a decade of experience. She provides pre- and post-natal massage, as well as deep tissue, injury recovery, relaxation and stress relief, with an affinity for integrating focused deep tissue work. Passionate about holistic healing, she began studying plant medicine and herbalism at Sage Mountain in 2006, later training as a birth and postpartum doula in 2009, at which time she offered pro bono support to disadvantaged mothers in Springfield, MA. She has continued to study herbalism, working in various herbal apothecaries, and studying under many well-known teachers, including the Arbor Vitae School of Traditional Herbalism, all of which informs her work with clients. After over 6 years as an associate massage therapist at Red Moon, Kelly currently lives and practices in Vermont, but continues to have occasional availability at Red Moon when she visits NY.

Victor Hugo is a New York State licensed massage therapist, an ashtanga yoga instructor with over 15 years' experience as well as a dedicated instructor/student of Brazilian jiu jitsu. Victor's practice aims to support the clients health goals and to help one achieve balance in mind and body. Victor is also a vipassana meditation practitioner and hopes to meet the visitors of his practice with a kind, open and caring heart in a space free of judgement and fear. Victor's modalities include myofascial and deep tissue massage, prenatal, Swedish, sports massage, shiatsu & acupressure, tui na, and reflexology. Before embarking on his career as a massage therapist Victor worked as an exhibition's coordinator for several major galleries in NY while also pursuing his own artistic practice. He is no stranger to creative problem solving and believes that every aspect of one's entire life can reflect an art practice. His massage sessions are effective and deeply relaxing, integrating his wealth of knowledge and experience in mind-body approaches to wellness.

Marika Chandler, LAc, MS, MTOM, brings over a 15 years of experience as a licensed acupuncturist and clinical herbalist. She works with children, adults, and elders to enhance well-being and treat a wide variety of mental, emotional, and physical disharmonies. Her specialties include, but are not limited to, enhancing fertility; pre- and postnatal support; acute and chronic pain and tension; digestive disorders; mental/emotional stress and challenges; and difficult life transitions.
Marika crafts unique treatments for each person’s needs. She selects from a variety of acupuncture styles, including Classical Taoist, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean styles as well as trigger point release (dry needling). She enhances the efficacy of her treatments as needed with clinical herbal medicine, dietary guidance, cupping, moxa, and biodynamic cranial sacral therapy.
Marika’s journey with healing and the body began with a career in modern dance and Pilates. She went on to earn two master’s degrees in East Asian Medicine: a Master’s in Acupuncture from Tristate College in New York and a Master’s of Traditional Oriental Medicine and Clinical Herbalism from Emperor’s College in Los Angeles. While pursuing her degrees, she served as a clinical assistant to the renowned Dr. Hua Bing Wen and studied Qigong for over five years with Grand Master Nan Lu.
She continues to expand her knowledge in many areas to enhance her practice. Most recently, this includes Biodynamic Cranial Sacral training with Elsie White; the Wandering Monk Sa’am Acupuncture System with Toby Daly; and an extensive two-year herbal mentorship program with Sharon Weisenbaum.
One of her greatest accomplishments and deepest joys is being a mom to her twelve-year-old daughter, Rowen.

A native New Yorker who has always had a passion and curiosity for science, Emily spent several years on our team as a massage therapist before an injury led her to take on a leadership and administrative role on our team. Emily enjoys being part of our front desk team while also acting as LMT Co-Coordinator to support our team of licensed massage therapists in a number of capacities including organizing continuing education and professional development. Emily has a background in biology and interdisciplinary science and outside of her work as a massage therapist, she studies the human microbiome at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her research looks at ways the microbiome impacts cancer treatment and recovery, infectious disease, and many aspects of health from childbirth throughout different stages of life and disease. As her injury recovery allows Emily looks forward to seeing clients for massage therapy sessions on a limited basis.

In addition to her experience as a licensed massage therapist, Amelia is part of our front desk team while also acting as LMT Co-Coordinator to support our team of licensed massage therapists in a number of capacities including organizing continuing education and professional development. Amelia is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Toronto and is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist. Her wide breadth of specialty massage skills includes intra-oral massage for TMJ, cancer / oncology massage, breast / chest massage, lymphatic drainage, and prenatal massage. She has a background providing massage therapy to patients recovering from strokes and acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, and is experienced working with geriatric patient populations. Her training as a dancer as well as her personal explorations into yoga, pilates, ELDOA, HIIT, running, movement awareness techniques, and somatic experiencing all inform her holistic approach with clients.

She is a certified Holistic Health Coach and Aromatherapist with a background in the ancient healing system of Ayurveda. Emma was born and raised in Brooklyn and is happy to be a part of the Red Moon team and contribute to the wonderful community of Park Slope! She previously worked as a Health and Life Science consultant in Boston, but missed the plethora of craft fairs, bike routes, and dairy alternatives only found in Brooklyn. Emma studied Developmental Psychology and Education and feels very passionate about researching holistic health techniques and helping others seek out the resources to create informed wellness practices. She is trained in Vinyasa Yoga and looks forward to bringing comprehensive and holistic health care practices to her future endeavors! Outside of Red Moon, Emma is working on completing an artist residency at the Object Movement Festival in Manhattan and practicing the Horton Dance Technique.

Lauren is a Chicago transplant who's thrilled to be working in such a healing space as Red Moon. As a freelance journalist and former magazine editor whose work revolves around mental health and wellness, she understands the potency of body work in fostering a healthy mind. She's eager to support clients along this journey. Outside of work, Lauren can be found wandering the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, weaving chainmail, or enjoying live music.

Lillian was born and raised in NYC. She worked in corporate operations for 5 years before she decided to change careers. She began working towards her acupuncture & TCM degree in 2020 and massage therapy degree in 2021. She recently graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science's Massage program and continues to pursue her acupuncture and herbal master's degree. She enjoys working with people from all walks of life and listening to their stories. Born and raised in New York, Abbie Martin Greenbaum returned to the city after graduating from college and has lived in Brooklyn ever since. She is a writer, and her debut short story was published in the spring 2024 issue of Five Points Journal. Though she’s had many jobs over the years — including Arts and Culture Editor, television set PA, and barista — she is delighted to find herself at Red Moon, which she feels is a fount of positivity and kindness. When she's not writing or working, she can usually be found reading, running in Prospect Park, or drinking way too much coffee.

Laura is a Brooklyn native and a first-generation Mexican American with a robust background in veterinary medicine and front desk operations spanning over a decade. Driven by a deep passion for holistic health, she is transitioning to a career in massage therapy and studying at Pacific College of Health and Science, focusing on acupuncture and herbal medicine. She also has a profound interest in Tui Na and practices Qi gong every morning. As a devoted animal lover and avid hiker, she aims to integrate her knowledge and experiences to become a 'curandera,' focusing on serving immigrant and indigenous communities in NYC with compassion, cultural sensitivity and care.
